You will receive a formal paper invitation in the mail in the coming months! However, if you know at this time if you can or cannot attend, please go ahead and RSVP now. The official RSVP deadline will be announced at a later time.

We ask guests to dress in formal attire on the wedding day (long dresses, suits and ties). Joyful colours are very welcome, but not at all required.

The ceremony will be indoors, in a 900-year old church. After the ceremony, a cocktail hour will be held in the garden, weather permitting, or inside the hotel. The reception will be held in a marquee on the grounds.

Over the last few years, mid-June in Northumberland has been temperate, with average daytime temperatures of ~16°C/62°F. There will be firepits lit in the evening, and we will keep an eye on the weather and provide fans or shawls if needed. Since England is famous for its light rainshowers, umbrellas will be available for all guests!

The Lord Crewe Arms dates back to 1165, so many interior spaces have somewhat-uneven stone floors, and there are interior stairs. The ceremony will be held in the neighbouring Blanchland Abbey, which is currently undergoing renovations to become wheelchair accessible. The reception will be held in a marquee on the grounds — traversing in between the marquee and the hotel (for example, to use the bathroom) will require moving over gravel, flagstones, and occasional steps.

If you're flying to the UK and are not a British passport holder, please make sure to apply for an ETA (electronic travel authorisation). This is new as of 2025, and will cost £20. Please complete the form ahead of flying out: gov.uk/eta.

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. Unless your invitation specifies "and guest" we ask you to please not bring any additional guests. Thank you for understanding!

We love your children, but due to space restrictions, we can't accommodate guests under 18 years old on our wedding day, with the exception of those included in the wedding party.

Yes! There are three free parking lots in the village of Blanchland (all within a 5-minute walk of the Lord Crewe Arms). One of the three parking lots is right next to the marquee where we'll be having the reception.
